Exploring Light and Dark has been GREAT fun!

We have been learning about light and dark. We identified light sources around us, and this was helped by our Victorian visitors who talked about how people in the past had to use candle light at night time.

We then had to investigate which materials would be the best for our up coming Christmas show. We wanted curtains which wouldn’t  let any light through. We tested different materials using a torch.

We learnt about animals which also come out at night, and that these are called nocturnal.

We also used our creative skills to create some night time woodland scenes.

Some of us used our language skills and made a story up whilst playing with these.

We also used revelation art on the computers to create firework displays, which some of us had seen whilst celebrating bonfire night with our families and friends.
