Last week, children from Merlins and Ospreys, had the most amazing day at Murton Park.
We were met by Centurion, who explained what our day would entail. We dressed as trainee Romans, learned more about the Roman Empire, and trained to fight! We signed our contracts to be Roman soldiers, and wrote in Latin. We were also able to make clay oil lamps and learn about why they were used.
A Celt tried to attack us, but we were ready and formed a testudo: he was unable to attack us any further.
What a great day of learning we had!
