The children all used their creative skills to design and make their superhero costumes for this event. What do you think?
We invited our parents and carers to the soiree too! We kicked the afternoon off with a sneak preview of our ROSCARS entry. We had all worked tremendously hard to learn the song ‘Power in Me’, and the dances to go with it. We are very proud of our final product. Fingers crossed it is a winning entry!!!!!!!
We then danced and sang the song ‘live’ for our parents and carers too. We were brilliant and thoroughly enjoyed doing this.
We then had the opportunity to go and complete the eight outdoor missions set for us by Mrs Marriott and Mrs Farrimond.
These included throwing bean bags through hanging hoops – to test our aiming skills.
We then had to crawl through a tunnel – which tested our spatial awareness, but also our speed and agility.
These missions tested our physical strength…
These tested our speed and agility too.
Once we had completed our missions we ventured inside. We had lots of things to purchase here. All the money raised went to our enterprising class fund. We raised £92.
Here are our superhero balloons.
Here are our superhero clay tiles.
Here are our tin can planters.
Here are our refreshments. We used fair-trade bananas to make banana shakes. Money made on this stall went to fair-trade. We raised £23 on here!
Here is a our superhero game – pin batman’s badge back on!
Here is our craft stall – make a superhero mask or finger puppet!
We had a fabulous afternoon and it was made even better by the weather. Thank you to everyone that helped in any way and to those that attended.
