Summer term 2: week beginning 8th June

Hi Chaffinches,

It was lovely to speak to some of you last week: I shall be calling the rest of you this week 🙂

I can see how busy you have been from the photos of shadow puppet theatres and terrariums you’ve been making, and it’s also great to see the progress that your sunflowers are making.

Please continue to use the Oak Academy, day by day, if you can, for Maths and English lessons, Science too. Continue to use the Active learn for reading books and some phonics work; also, don’t forget to fill your sunflower diary in please.

As museums are still closed, I am posting some links for you to go on some virtual tours of museums around the world – how exciting!

Visit a museum…from your home!

Go to Paris and visit the Louvre: The Louvre in Paris      https://www.louvre.fr/en/visites-en-ligne#tabs

Visit the British Museum in London: it is full of amazing artefacts!

Fancy a trip to the Vatican city?

Once you’ve ‘visited’ a museum, you could sketch one of your favourite artefacts from one of the museums, or you could write a review of the museum, like you might for TripAdvisor, saying what you enjoyed or didn’t enjoy: then give it a star rating.

Reading challenge

I’m really missing hearing you read to me so I would love for you to read your book to me, and to have this recorded as a video or audio file and then sent to me at my email address.

Thank you for your photos that you’ve sent to me – please enjoy looking through them.
