Merlins’ and Ospreys’ visit to Woodside Wildlife Park

What an amazing learning experience Merlins and Ospreys have had today. Our rangers, James and Robin, took us on a whistle stop tour around the world teaching us all about the weird and wonderful animals and their habitats.

Merlins particularly enjoyed Robin feeding the wolves their breakfast whilst listening to James’ amazing facts about their habitats, appearances and eating habits. The children also had the opportunity to hold and stroke a variety of reptiles such as a male and female boa constrictor, a bearded dragon and a lizard. They even had the opportunity of stroking some owls too!

Julia, the magnificent hyper-carnivore tiger, was another beautiful sight to see. Everyone really enjoyed meeting Julia and watching her pouncing and diving for her lunch.
