Chaffinches Visit St James’ Church, South Anston

On 5th December, we visited St James’ Church in South Anston to see how the church prepares for Christmas. We were interested to see how the church was filled with purple banners and the lectern and pulpit were also covered in purple. Tracey explained to us that this is the colour for Advent. She showed us the advent wreath and told us that the candles are lit each Sunday as Christmas approaches and she also showed us the Nativity scene. We found the visit very interesting.
