Shopping fun!

Another idea that will help your child learn about money and its value is to label different food items, and arrange them as a shop.  Children can try to make the various amounts using different coins and pay for the shopping.  (Coins can be cleaned using vinegar – some Science –  and then disinfected before use if you require).
