A Little Helping Hand – Greenlands Park Litter Picking

We have been learning about how to plant seeds and care for these, and it got us talking about what else we should care for. We talked about how important it was to look after our planet, and how this can be done. We then talked about how we could help to look after our local community, so we decided to go and do some litter picking in our local park.

We worked in small teams to collect as much litter as we could.

We used litter pickers and gloves to ensure we stayed safe.  We were very good at using the litter pickers too.

We managed to miss the rain clouds, but we wore wellies and rain coats just in case.

It’s now official! We definitely know how to respect and care for the natural environment and all living things.

We said dropping litter isn’t a good decision, and can be harmful to our wildlife too.
