For the second time in two years, Greenlands has been featured on BBC Look North! On Tuesday 11th March, newsreaders Harry and Amy arrived in school to pick up tips for their “Tour de Yorkshire” in aid of Sport Relief. We were chosen because of our fantastic sustainable transport record: 37% of the school population cycle or scoot to school.
The two presenters spent the afternoon cycling around the playground, talking to children and asking advice from Natalie, our Sustrans officer. Harry even had a go on our curling set!
The report was excellent; school looked lovely and Harry was extremely positive, calling Greenlands “a smashing school”! He even tweeted about us!
