A huge thank you to all the family, friends and younger children who visited the Y5 and Y6 Egyptian Market on Monday 6th July. We were so proud of the Golden Eagles and Snowy Owls. Not only did the event give them the opportunity to showcase the beautiful craft work they have designed and created this term – from clay masks and bracelets to pendants and keyrings – they also had the chance to demonstrate how independent and enterprising they are. The children impressed us with the range of imaginative stalls and activities they devised, such as ‘Pin the Beard on the Pharaoh’, the Egyptian photo booth, a scavenger hunt and a card stamp. They put a lot of thought into ensuring that there was something for everyone to do, from five year olds to grandparents! Many of you had a chance to sample the delicious food the children had cooked, as well as the custom-made mocktails!
