If you go down to the woods today…

You’ll find Robins and Chaffinches having their Teddy Bear’s picnic! To celebrate an amazing topic about Paddington Bear, the children in Year 1 and 2 brought a cuddly toy to school to take part in a Teddy Bear’s picnic.  The picnic was extra-special because the marmalade sandwiches that the children tucked into were made by themselves.  Last week we enjoyed making the delicious marmalade and this week we have made our own bread.  The smells coming from our classrooms have been divine! The morning was spent playing a variety of traditional games and then we enjoyed our picnic with our teddies.  The children have produced some amazing work during the last few weeks and have thoroughly enjoyed learning about Paddington and his adventures around London.  We have written our own stories about Paddington and some scrapes that he has got himself into.  What a fabulous bunch of writers we have in Key Stage 1, we are very proud of you all!
