Hello everybody, I hope that you are all staying safe and well. I hope you’ve all enjoyed having a look at the School Jam App and having a go at Block 2 last week – Part – Whole within 10.
Following on from this, if you get chance this week, have a look at Block 3: Addition and subtraction within 10 (1) – Balance the Bridge.
In this game, the children can familiarise themselves with all the different equipment we use when teaching addition, such as tens frames, dienes sticks and cubes along with the addition and equals sign. The children have to recognise that the same number can be represented in different ways.
If you’re really confident, then why not have a look at Block 4: Addition and subtraction within 10 (2) – Cloud and Seek which introduces subtraction too.
As always, if you need any help or advice please do not hesitate to email.
Good luck and have fun!
Hello everybody – I hope you are all keeping well and staying safe!
Can I just say well done to everybody who is continuing to access the resources on ActiveLearn – I can see that many of you are working really hard – keep it up!
Now, on to our weekly maths challenge!
Following on from last week’s Odd Bod and Even Steven challenge, this week your challenge is to reinforce your understanding of odd and even numbers. Click on the link below to get started – good luck!
Now for a bit of exercise and fun at the same time!
Click on the link below and sing along to the odd number song with Jack Hartmann at the same time as doing your daily exercise – I’d love to see photos of you doing this!
Once again, just to say a huge thank you to all of our parents for your continued support.
Hope to see you all soon x
We hope you are all safe and well. We are missing you very much and cannot wait to see you all again!
Here is a maths challenge to have a go at with your family while you are at home.
As you know, we use our hundred squares a lot during our maths lessons and they are very useful. However, the numbers on the hundred square in this challenge have fallen off! We want you to find a quick way to put the numbers back in their right places – good luck!
Thank you all for your support with your child’s learning.
We hope you are all enjoying the time you are spending at home with your family and hope you are all being good!
In our last Maths lesson at school, we were thinking about measuring in centimetres. We went on a Spring Hunt in the school grounds and found different objects to measure.
Here is a link to the maths game we played at the beginning of the lesson which you all enjoyed – have a go at playing it at home and see what things you can measure in your house.
Stay safe everybody!
Love Miss. Fisher and Mrs.Forbes
We had a wonderful time dressing up as different book characters on World Book Day. Can you spot which characters we are?
